Teignmouth Community Lido Trust representative Daniel O'Connell conveyed optimism, saying he was “very happy” that the decision to close the lido would be reconsidered.
David Palethorpe, the Liberal Democrat deputy leader on the council, described the meeting as excellent. He emphasized that democracy was on display and that the executive would seriously weigh the public input heard during the session.
Looking ahead, the council’s executive is set to review the recommendation to overturn the original closure decision at its meeting on 10 March.
